CertainTeed Roof Repair in Miami: What to Know First
CertainTeed roof repair in Miami typically runs $350 to $1,400 depending on what failed, and most repairs we handle are done in a single visit. We’re an independent CertainTeed service provider – not affiliated with the manufacturer – and we repair their full line: Landmark, Presidential Shake, Northgate, XT 25, and the flat-roof membranes CertainTeed puts out. If you own a CertainTeed roof and it’s leaking, lifting, or missing shingles, call (850) 318-3769 and we’ll give you a written price before any work starts.
How CertainTeed Products Fail – and How We Fix Them
- Landmark shingle granule loss after wind-driven rain. Landmark is the most common CertainTeed line we see in Miami, and its biggest weak point here is granule loss on south-facing slopes. The Miami sun cooks the asphalt, the granules loosen, and the next storm strips them. You’ll see bare patches that look darker than the surrounding shingle. We replace the affected shingles and check the underlayment beneath for moisture before sealing the repair.
- Presidential Shake lifting at the butt edge. Presidential Shake is a heavy, high-profile shingle that looks great on larger homes, but its laminated layers separate over time when the adhesive strip dies in the heat. What looks like a curled shingle is often the top layer delaminating. The fix is mechanical fastening plus a new bead of roof cement, done carefully so we don’t crack the layer beneath.
- Northgate granule staining and nail pop residue. Northgate is CertainTeed’s impact-rated line, and it tends to hold nails tighter than the average shingle, which sounds good until a nail pops. In Miami, the heat expansion pushes them up through the shingle face. We pull the popped nail, reset it, seal the hole, and replace the shingle if the pop has cracked through.
- XT 25 blow-offs at the rake edge. XT 25 is a 25-year three-tab shingle, and it does not love hurricane gusts. We see more XT 25 blow-offs than any other CertainTeed line, especially along the rake edge in neighborhoods like Shenandoah and The Roads. When we repair an XT 25, we re-secure the perimeter shingles with extra fasteners and check the starter strip, because if that’s gone, more shingles will follow.
- Flintlastic flat roof membrane splits at seams. CertainTeed’s Flintlastic is a peel-and-stick modified bitumen membrane, and in Miami’s humidity, the seams can open if the original installer didn’t roll them correctly. These splits show up as hairline cracks that widen after each rain. We cut back the membrane, clean the seam, apply new primer and flashing cement, and reset the repair so it drains properly.

Our CertainTeed Roof Repair Process
Here’s exactly how a CertainTeed repair goes from your first call to the finished job, in order:
- 1
You call, a person answers. A live person picks up at (850) 318-3769, day or night. You tell us what you’re seeing – a stain, a missing shingle, damp drywall – and we schedule a visit with a trackable arrival time.
- 2
We diagnose on the roof, not from the ground. Our technician walks the roof, checks the surrounding shingles, the flashing, the underlayment, and the deck. For a CertainTeed roof, we also check the manufacturer’s install specs on that specific line to make sure the repair won’t void your warranty.
- 3
You get a written price before any work starts. The price covers the repair, any replacement materials, cleanup, and our 365-day guarantee. It’s the number on the page, full stop.
- 4
The repair goes in that day. We use OEM CertainTeed components when they’re available and make sense. If OEM isn’t the best call, we’ll tell you which quality aftermarket part we’re using and why. No surprises.
- 5
We test the repair and document everything. Water test where possible, then before-and-after photos sent to your phone. You’ll see exactly what was wrong and what it looks like fixed.
- 6
You get a digital invoice and a 365-day written guarantee. If the same repair fails within a year, we return and fix it at no charge. No negotiation, no second invoice.

AfterWhat CertainTeed Roof Repair Costs in Miami

| Leak Repair with Flashing Work | $500 – $1,000 |
| Flat Roof Patch (Flintlastic membrane) | $550 – $1,200 |
| Valley Repair | $450 – $900 |

Why Miami Homeowners Call Crestview Roofing Co Miami for CertainTeed Work
We’re Dylan Pace’s team, and we’ve been repairing CertainTeed roofs in Miami long enough to know the specific ways this brand fails in this climate. Salt air off Biscayne Bay eats at fasteners; hurricane-season heat softens adhesive strips; afternoon downpours expose even the smallest seam gap. When we fix a CertainTeed roof, we’re accounting for all of that. We also work across the top shingle brands – GAF and Owens Corning among them – so if your CertainTeed repair touches another product, we know how to handle both. Every repair gets a 365-day Done Right Promise in writing, a live arrival time before we show up, and before-and-after photos so you can see exactly what was done. Every promise in writing – because a roof shouldn’t come with fine print.
FAQs
No. As an independent CertainTeed service provider, we follow the manufacturer’s installation specs for your specific shingle line, and most CertainTeed warranties allow repairs when done correctly. We’ll tell you before any work starts if a specific repair could affect coverage.
Most CertainTeed repairs – a missing shingle, a vent boot, a flashing issue – are done in one visit, typically the same week you call. Larger repair scopes may take two visits depending on material availability.
Most repairs run between $350 and $1,400. Shingle replacement is the low end; flat roof membrane work and full valley replacements are on the higher end. Call (850) 318-3769 for a written estimate – it’s free.
If the damaged area is localized and the rest of the roof is solid, repair makes sense. If you’re seeing granule loss across most slopes, multiple leaks, or shingles blowing off in different spots, replacement is often cheaper per year. We’ll give you our honest read without pushing toward the bigger job.
We use OEM CertainTeed components when they’re available and the best option. For discontinued lines or certain components, a quality aftermarket part can outperform what CertainTeed no longer makes. We’ll explain the choice before we quote it.
